Our institute is offering an exciting opportunity for experienced academics to join us as EdD Supervisors for students enrolled in our Doctor of Education (EdD) programme at our Singapore campus. We are looking for dedicated individuals to guide and support students throughout their research journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Provide 40 hours of supervision over 36 months.
- Monthly Meetings: Conduct regular meetings to monitor student progress and offer guidance.
- Progress Reports: Submit a brief monthly progress report for each student.
- Payment: Remuneration of SGD 4,000, disbursed quarterly over three years.
Key Areas of Guidance:
- Proposal Refinement: Help students refine research proposals, including objectives and design.
- Literature Review: Assist with comprehensive literature reviews and theoretical framework development.
- Methodology Development: Guide students in drafting methodology and preparing ethics approval.
- Pilot Study & Data Collection: Oversee pilot studies and provide feedback during data collection.
- Data Analysis & Dissertation: Support students through data analysis, drafting findings, and writing their discussion chapters.
- Final Submission: Aid in final revisions, proofreading, and viva voce preparation.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience for EdD Supervisors:
- Education: A PhD or Doctor of Education (EdD), preferably in education or a closely related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in higher education (HE), including teaching, supervision, and programme leadership, particularly at postgraduate levels.
- Expertise in Education Theory: A strong background in educational theory is required to guide students effectively through their doctoral studies in education.
- Track Record in Research: Experience in academic research, particularly in education, with a demonstrated ability to guide doctoral-level research projects.
