SLI Studio (Stacey Leong Interiors) specializes in bespoke residential projects in Singapore. We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team of senior creative designers. We are keen to meet designers who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our projects. The ideal candidate would be a gifted designer who is organized and able to envision and manage parts of a project.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Concept & Design Development
- Support the development of concepts through research and image studies and presentation of ideas
- Assist in researching spatial design solutions to fulfill the concept, design intent, and client brief
Interior Design Drawings
- Assist in the preparation of 2D design plans, elevations, detailed drawings
- Assist in the preparation of furniture plans, specifications, material, and pricing schedules
Material Sourcing, Selection & Specification
- Provide material sourcing proposals with guidance from senior designers
- Research and consult supplier representatives on product info and suitability for projects
- Material library coordination
Liaison and Coordination with Suppliers & Team
- Develop a strong network of FF&E suppliers and resources
- Assist in gathering technical information and pricing for materials and supporting client communications
- Assist in obtaining quotations and providing plans for quantities of items
Project Management Support
- Participate in on-site and client meetings
- Support client and contractor communication efforts
- Coordinate with contractors on schedules and drawings required during the various stages of project construction
- Tracking project updates and preparing reports
Who are we looking for?
- Professional Degree in Interior Design or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Ideally, the candidate should have design experience on high-end residential projects where they were involved in all phases of the interior design process
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, personable, keen self-initiative, and genuinely interested in high-end interior design
- Passionate, self-motivated designer, ready for a fast-paced, and demanding workload
- Eagerness to learn, work collaboratively, and grow within a dynamic team environment
