About the job
The role involves leading financial reporting changes in line with regulatory and sustainability requirements, supporting IFRS17 and statutory reporting, and managing the finance risk and control framework. Responsibilities include providing accounting opinions for product approvals, assessing the financial impact of new products, and identifying and mitigating reporting risks. The candidate will collaborate with internal finance, actuarial, and non-finance teams, as well as stakeholders like the Risk and Compliance functions, and prepare governance papers for executive and audit committees.
Skills and experience required
At least 8 years of finance/financial reporting experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, IFRS17, audit, and internal controls framework. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, along with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business environments. Big 4 insurance auditors should apply.
