Job Description
- Plan shipment schedules based on customers' orders and timeline requirements
- Negotiate with carriers/freight forwarding companies and perform freight booking
- Ensure timely and accurate shipment by monitoring delivery schedule and coordinating with purchasing, sales and warehouse personnel
- Prepare import/export permits and liaise with Singapore Customs officer for any queries received
- Liaise with logistics company on the trucking schedule to ensure shipments are managed within the free time
- Prepare commercial invoice/packing list/BL shipping instructions & other shipping documents
- Ensure all shipping documents are accurate, complete, and comply with industry regulations and company standards.
- Arrange and track courier packages, and resolve any issues/delays that may arise
- Attend to queries/feedback relating to shipments - address discrepancies, handle delays, and proactively find solutions to shipping issues
- File and update administrative records relating to shipments
- Handle all other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level, preferably with 3 years relevant experience
- Good knowledge of Import / Export Shipping procedure and documentation will be advantageous
- Familiarity with Incoterms will advantageous
- Certificate for customs competency test for Declarants will be advantageous
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Good communication skills.
- Good organizational skills, detail-oriented and flexible
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
