Duties
1. Boarding Fee Management
- Liaise and coordinate on Boarding financial processes with internal and external stakeholders, including Ministry of Education (MOE)
- Review and issue invoices for all Boarding related fees including ad-hoc billing and Boarding programme
- Process and reconcile collections, receipts and manage outstanding fees
- Prepare accounting entries to recognise unbilled, advance and boarding fees monthly
2. Goods and Service Tax
- Account for monthly GST on reverse charge and monthly allowable output tax for Boarding
- Analyse, identify and compute residual input tax to determine quarterly input tax disallowed for Boarding and disallowed GST annually
- Reconcile monthly GST accounts, prepare and submit quarterly GST returns to IRAS
3. Gap Semester and MOE Trips for International Experience (TIE) Fund
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. MOE) on TIE funds including data verification on the amount payable by student for Gap Semester and TIE trips
- Maintain and track of TIE funds downloaded, utilisation and balance availability
- Collate data for budget purpose reporting
4. Donation Receipts
- Issue and record tax-exempt and non-tax exempt receipts
- Update and reconcile receipts issued in MOE TEDAS system
- Prepare donation receipts schedule and annual returns for submission to MOE
5. Prepare monthly schedules and attend to internal and external audits
6. Assist in enhancement of Finance system automation projects
7. Any other duties assigned by the School
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting/ Finance or its equivalent with 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and any applicable Accounting Systems/ Software
- Proficiency in the use of education technology or data analytics will be an advantage
- Able to present information for management reporting
- High level of accuracy with an eye for detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Possess clear and logical thinking
- Able to complete tasks independently and as a team
- Conscientious and able to meet reasonably tight deadlines (e.g. month-end closing)
- Good customer service skills, able to build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- This is a 2-year contract (renewable)
