Principal Occupational Hygiene (OH) Consultant

The Principal OH Consultant shall provide leadership, development and management of occupational and industrial hygiene-related projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop business, prepare proposals, and scope for occupational hygiene services
  • Development, management and delivery of projects that involve chemical exposure monitoring, noise exposure monitoring, hazardous materials management, and other occupational hazards
  • Provide support and management of other environmental, health and safety-related services such as health and safety compliance and due diligence audits
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders, regional and global teams, as required
  • Client relationship management
  • Business development, marketing and client relationship management within the Asia-Pacific region
  • Preparation and review of high-quality deliverables including proposals, reports and presentations
  • Facilitate contract management of suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Project management including tracking of project progress and profitability
  • Mentoring junior staff
  • Preparation of site-specific HSSE plans to manage risks to clients, employees and the public

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science / Engineering, Chemistry / Chemical Engineering, Occupational, Health and Safety, or related fields with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Completed Monitoring Noise and Vibration and Measure Exposure and Assess the Risk due to Hazardous Substances courses
  • Proven technical expertise in the management and delivery of occupational and industrial hygiene consultancy services
  • Experience in managing teams and project delivery
  • Experience in a variety of sectors including construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, power and energy in Singapore
  • Strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols
  • Skills include:
  1. Analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving
  2. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  3. Ability to multi-task, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
  4. Keen attention to detail
  5. Ability to engage with clients directly
  6. Strong organisational skills and proactive mindset
  • The following are desired:
  1. Work experience in Southeast Asia
  2. Certified Industrial Hygienist or Registered Industrial Hygienist
  3. Professional certificate in occupational hygiene
