DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversees the whole operation of USG workshop in Sembawang and Paya Lebar
· Supervise the Vehicle and MHE maintenance & repair functions to ensure conformance with US Navy, US Air Force repair.
· Monitor and coordinate with Work Control to ensure work orders are opened and closed upon completion of maintenance using US Navy Maximo, Contractor Maximo and US Air Force Online maintenance program Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
· Ensure parts received for vehicles are input/documented in the inventory management system (Contractor Maximo).
· Initiate purchase requisition for consumable items, maintenance materials and required parts.
· Perform clerical work including coordinating functions for maintenance of equipment and tools for the vehicle Maintenance. shop. Gather, input, retrieve and maintain maintenance information in both computer and manual systems.
· Collect data required for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports required by the Management.
· Ensure adherence to monthly vehicle Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) to include Company vehicles.
· Monitor work load status and control workflow through the maintenance shops. Operate computer terminal and enter data required to update equipment schedules, delayed parts and historical records in Maximo programs. Coordinate and supervise the planning and maintenance of all USG vehicles, Company vehicles and MHE equipment.
· For US Air Force, ensure repairs for Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) are scheduled, tracked, accomplished and recorded IAW AFI 21-101. Perform administrative function. Monitor monthly variations-in quality (VIQ) QMR Inspection report of US Air Force (PACAF) and all contractor spec items for submission to the management.
· Assist with technical research and identification of part number of material required by maintenance personnel using Technical Orders, Federal Supply catalogue; cross references to National Stock number then submit requirement for purchase requisitioning through the US Air Force, US Navy and/or Contractor Supply Systems. Follow through with minor maintenance work order for all HAZMAT collection and waste turn-in IAW AFMAN 24-307 and local directives.
· Determine to what degree and by whom, repairs are made, and vehicles/equipment are inspected to ensure all work specified have been completed.
· Determine the most efficient and economical means of returning vehicle to service.
· Carefully consider the repairs or replacement of individual assemblies and components to make effective use of resources while adhering to any safety and serviceability standard and to avoid “overly maintaining” the vehicles.
· Ensure technicians comply with all safety procedures and technical requirements.
· Ensure vehicles requiring acceptance into fleet are properly inspected and documented.
· Ensure vehicles required to be rotated out (sold) are placed in DRMO and all documentation are completed.
· Prepare Monthly Vehicle PMS schedule and reports
· Participate in weekly managerial meetings, make recommendations for changes and improvement to transportation policy and procedures.
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Skill in maintenance and repair
· Previous Supervisor / Manager experience
· Valid Singapore Driver License
· Minimum 5 years of Clean Driving Record
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING
Basic knowledge of all applicable OSH and GOS programs, rules and regulations related to occupational safety
EDUCATION:
1. High school, diploma/degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive
EXPERIENCE:
· The Transportation Supervisor shall have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a transportation fleet of a size and scope similar to Singapore. Must be experience in charge of fleet operations. The incumbent must be well versed in the Operational, Maintenance, and Administration areas/functions of an industrial/commercial transportation fleet.
