Responsibilities:
- Ensure proficiency and effectiveness in managing day to day operations of the Finance team, the full spectrum of the accounting functions (AP, AR, GL) and project functions to ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory and monthly management reporting.
- Manage and control all receivables and payables in a timely and effective manner.
- Preparation of quarterly GST submissions and annual corporate income tax filings with tax agent.
- Conduct annual/periodic Fixed assets stock take and assets verifications.
- Contributes to the safeguarding of company assets through the maintenance of appropriate controls while supporting the Finance Manager in the determination of appropriate accounting treatment for various situations.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors, tax agents and corporate secretary to ensure timely completion of audits, tax filing, accounts, and corporate matters. Assist on the preparation of audit related schedules and documentation.
- Assist Finance Manager in annual budgeting and monthly cashflow forecasts. Produce periodic and on-demand management information.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned when appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy with minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in similar capacity, preferably with audit experience.
- Knowledgeable in accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and MS Office applications.
- Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
