Tokio Marine Asset Management International Pte. Ltd. (“TMAMI”) was established in July 1997 in Singapore as a fully owned subsidiary of Tokio Marine Asset Management Co., Ltd. (“TMAM Tokyo”), with the mission to become the “Best in Quality” Asian investment manager and to provide high quality investment services worldwide.


TMAMI is a Capital Markets Services (“CMS”) Licensee under the Monetary Authority of Singapore and is a member of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS).


We are seeking ambitious and energetic candidates to fill the role of Manager/Assistant Manager – Business Development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of Business Development and Strategy in developing and implementing business strategies and planning. The successful candidate will be pivotal in fostering long-term client relationships and driving business growth.


Job Responsibilities

  1. Business Development:
    • Develop and Execute Strategies:
    • Formulate and implement business development strategies for existing client relationships and market expansion.
    • Identify New Opportunities:
    • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to discover new client prospects and business opportunities.
    • Support Activities:
    • Assist in business development and client activities to support the team's goals.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Maintain Relationships:
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with institutional clients, financial advisors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Understand Needs:
    • Gain insight into client needs and preferences to tailor solutions effectively.
  3. Product Management and Development:
    • Collaborate on Solutions:
    • Work with internal teams to create customized investment solutions.
    • Lead Initiatives:
    • Oversee product development from inception to launch, including strategy formulation and roadmap definition.
    • Manage Launches:
    • Handle product launches, including marketing materials and client communication.
    • Enhance Products:
    • Work with portfolio managers and investment teams to refine investment products.
    • Conduct Research:
    • Perform industry and market research.

Job Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Manager Position: Minimum 7-8 years in business development within financial services preferred.
    • Assistant Manager Position: Minimum 4-5 years in business development within financial services preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or Finance preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strategic Thinking:
    • Ability to think strategically and deliver effective presentations.
    • Communication:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
    • Organizational Skills:
    • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
    • Results-Oriented:
    • Focused on achieving business goals and objectives.
    • Teamwork and Independence:
    • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of financial markets and investment preferred.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) and Bloomberg preferred.
  • Travel:
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes.
