Our client is an iconic and globally renowned market leader in the core building infrastructure sector and have had a presence in Singapore for over 50 years. We are delighted to be mandated once more to support their growth, as they are now to acquire an experienced Business Development Director reporting directly to the Managing Director, to spearhead strategic growth and drive the formation of long-standing meaningful partnerships. This is an exciting role for a passionate and ‘sales driven’ individual who enjoys embarking on “exciting” opportunities to drive growth.
What does this role entail:
· Being at the forefront of identifying and developing new business opportunities in terms of both clients and sectors.
· Drive new and existing relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors.
· Working seamlessly and in collaboration with 3 different business verticals, multitasking to successfully promote product and sales revenue.
· Utilising data to drive commercial decisions and evaluating existing partnerships and sales efforts with a focus on what works and changing what doesn’t.
· Owning key and important client relationships improving ‘share of wallet’ and whilst striving to build out new strategic relationships.
· Contributing to building the brand profile through expanding its visibility and reach.
· Working collaboratively and in partnership with business line leaders and cross-functional teams to guide and attain sustainable, long-term growth.
What you need to have:
· A demonstrable track record in Business Development and sales within the core building infrastructure sector. This includes BMS, HVAC, Elevators, Fire & Electronic Security.
· Excellent relationship management skills, used to dealing with senior decision makers and key stakeholder. with key stake holders.
· An innate passion for identifying and driving new business opportunities culminating in driving revenue and profitability.
· Excellent strategic planning skills. The ability to craft a business development strategy and drive its execution.
· Wonderful communication skills and the ability to converse with people at all levels across multiple different environments.
· Accomplished presentation skills and the ability to intrigue and captivate your client audience.
· Strong commercial acumen – understanding the underlying terms of a deal to ensure clients expectations are met and margins are maintained.
· A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
