About the role
Due to the growing demand for technology protection in Singapore and regionally, we are currently looking for Patent Attorney trainee in the field of biotechnology.
Candidates will be considered for a Patent Scientist position and should have a PhD or Masters in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Life Science (in any field of specialization). More importantly, candidates must exhibit strong English language communication skills (both written and oral) and the capacity for understanding diverse technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with 2–3 years industry or post graduate research experience.
The role will involve all aspects of patent work, including prosecuting of patent applications in Singapore and other South-East Asia Countries.
Successful candidates will receive training and development towards achieving the coveted professional status of a Singapore Registered Patent Attorney with very attractive remuneration at qualification level. Accordingly, candidates are expected to be ready to make a long-term commitment (typically at least 4-5 years) to extend their skill set by undertaking the necessary preparation and examinations to qualify as a Patent Attorney.
