Role Summary
Join our innovative team as a Technician in our Manufacturing Team in Singapore. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by performing maintenance on equipment and the facility itself. You will collaborate closely with other production technicians, engineers, and scientists to support manufacturing, R&D, and piloting activities.
Responsibilities
Facility Inspections and Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections of the manufacturing facility to ensure all systems are functioning optimally and safely.
- Schedule and execute routine maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to prevent downtime and ensure accuracy.
- Identify and troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.
Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment, Waste Disposal
- Perform routine tests and monitor water quality to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Manage consumables inventory and conduct regular inspections of the wastewater treatment plant to ensure efficient operation and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the management of production waste, including arranging for disposal by licensed waste collectors, and implement waste reduction initiatives with proper waste segregation.
Safety and Inventory Management:
- Maintain up-to-date records of safety and chemical inventories, monitor levels, and coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock as needed.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility through housekeeping tasks, maintaining safety equipment, and conducting safety inspections.
- Assist in preparing and executing HSE activities, including SOPs, fire drills, safety briefings, and toolbox meetings.
- Participate in HSE training programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the facility.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports and/or log sheets on facility operations, maintenance activities, and water quality.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and inspections.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to the development of best practices for manufacturing facility management.
Requirements
- Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience with 5S methodology.
- Certification or substantial experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices.
- Experience with the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Basic proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
