Overview:
- The Business Development Manager drives sales within a specific region by securing new business and managing customer relationships. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, preparing proposals, and enhancing revenue and profit. Collaboration with management and product teams is key to formulating effective sales plans and securing competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and support regional or global account growth.
- Prepare and present quotations and proposals, working with product teams to secure competitive rates.
- Implement business development strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and drive revenue and profit growth.
- Analyze customer performance, initiate improvements, and contribute ideas for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to execute sales initiatives and manage internal relationships.
- Participate in tender processes and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Logistics and/or Supply Chain certification preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, air cargo, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics.
- Proven track record in sales development.
- Initiative, independence, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High integrity and ethical standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a positive team player attitude.
