Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with regional oversight on AML Program related to AML Transaction Monitoring Systems. Be involved in the review and provide recommendations as part of the governance process for any related system changes pertaining to system optimization and tuning work carried out within the Bank.
- Be a part of the AML Advisory team for Asia and share Transaction Monitoring Systems related expertise with other team members.
- Support on AML related matters, including working on building out the AML program in line with the Transaction Monitoring Standards within Asia.
- As the SME for AML, the candidate will be part of a Regional AML Advisory team supporting MUFG locations in Asia for escalations on AML related matters, including the Bank’s AML Policy, Standards, Procedures and Regional guidance, to manage the AML risks by supporting the review and approval of the design of AML transaction monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with AML Compliance stakeholders in Asia on the development of AML controls, process and procedures to ensure risks are effectively identified and mitigated. In particular, supporting the design of manual or specialised transaction monitoring process.
- Collaborate with AML Compliance stakeholders in Asia on AML system matters pertaining to regulatory exams, audit and compliance testing.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Degree certified
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AML transaction monitoring system deployment or calibration
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AML or risk and control functions
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin will be required for coverage in Chinese Mandarin-speaking APAC region branches to communicate effectively with AML Compliance stakeholders for all Product AML advisory work, Mandarin is the working language
- Ability to work independently, proactively learn through various sources and be resourceful
- Possess excellent communication skills to convey advisory clearly and lead calls independently
- Able to manage competing priorities to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and OutlookHighly resilient team players, with a can-do positive and proactive attitude and a keenness to learn
- Passionate and take pride in one’s deliverables and quality of workFast learner and capable of multi-tasking and working under a time-sensitive environment
- Prior experience in stakeholders’ management
