Senior Manager/Asst Director Game Services - Support Services (Contract Role)

As the Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Games Services (Logistics, Venue Dressing, Waste Management) at the World Aquatics Championships 2025, you will work closely with the Deputy Director of Games Services and the management of team. Your responsibilities include providing crucial support in logistics, venue dressing and waste management all of which are critical to the event's smooth execution.


What you will be working on

Responsibilities

1. Logistics Management

  • Strategically plan and optimize space usage and material flow, facilitating the smooth movement of sports equipment, signage, uniforms, medals, and other event essentials.
  • Provide timely reports to track progress.
  • Collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that logistics processes operate efficiently and adhere to established timelines.
  • Oversee asset management

2. Venue Dressing

  • Manage venue decoration and setup for the events and related activities.
  • Support the execution of venue design plans that align with the event's theme and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the venue operations team to coordinate logistics related to decoration, including transportation, setup, and removal, and provide status updates as required.
  • Integrate technology, digital displays, and innovative proposals to enhance the overall venue experience.
  • Contribute to sustainability practices in venue setup and report any sustainability issue.

3. Waste Management

  • Ensure proper waste handling and disposal procedures throughout the event.
  • Collaborate with relevant agencies, such as the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment, to implement event-wide and city-wide sustainable and green efforts.
  • Support waste collection and sorting efforts, promptly addressing significant waste management issues.
  • Assist in the supervision of hazardous waste management and the promotion of waste reduction practices.

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Able to start work Immediately or within short notice period.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, venue dressing, or waste management, preferably in sports or large-scale events.
  • Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong ability to write and engage with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with the aquatic sports industry is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed during the event, including weekends and holidays.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as and when directed by Project Director.
