DFS Global Finance Services is building our team of accounting professionals towards our NextGen Finance vision. The candidate will have the opportunity to join the Center of Excellence leveraging new technologies, Process Reengineering, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Data Analytics to create value for the individual and the Company. Additionally, DFS invests in people development and facilitates dynamic career moves across various accounting functions such as Regional Controllers, Group Reporting, Transformation Office and Global Tax.
We are looking for a Finance Officer and the candidate will be responsible for the fixed asset process (which starts from planning to completion of construction) and will be exposed to use of digital tools such Coupa, Microstrategy (BI), SAP & BPC (ERP). The candidate will also be able to partner with the various business functions, such as Store Development Team and Store Finance team to deliver and drive continuous process improvement. The candidate should have strong accounting concepts and analytical skills, a growth mindset and open to cross functional rotations.
What you’ll do
- Partner with Store Development team and Store Divisions in the fixed asset process to ensure timely capitalization of assets upon completion of store construction.
- Continuously participate in reviewing and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency for the team.
- Participate in the exciting new changes happening within the fixed asset process where the primary aim is to streamline the end-to-end process and reduce manual reconciliation/entries.
- Monthly closing activities:
a) Ensure proper capitalization of cost and recording of depreciation/disposal/transfer of assets in compliance with local statutory tax laws and DFS’ accounting policies.
b) Prepare Account Reconciliations.
c) Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month end closing activities.
d) Liaise with internal and external audit as well as other outside parties as required.

Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor degree in Accountancy
- At least 1 to 2 years relevant working experience (preferably from a MNC environment or from Audit Firm)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS office applications.
- SAP experience is an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/IAS.
