The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function. Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
A Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Oliver Mueller-Cajar at the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The research group is interested in the detailed biochemistry of how the gas carbon dioxide is assimilated into biomass in algae and plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible in laboratory management tasks.
- Involved in biochemical experiments related to carbon dioxide fixation as required. These include protein and metabolite purification and enzymatic assays (spectrophotometric and radiometric).
- Responsible in the maintenance of algal cultures.
Job Requirements:
- BSc in Biochemistry or related fields
- Experience in a biochemistry research laboratory would be advantageous
