About the Job:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Technical Sales Specialist to join our client’s team, with a focus on the Marine and Shipping industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably within Marine Satellite Communications or related industries, and will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with ship owners and managers in Singapore. There is also potential for expanding into Indonesia based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies targeting ship owners, ship managers, and service partners within the maritime industry.
- Champion the promotion and sale of marine satellite communication equipment and related solutions.
- Leverage existing contacts while actively building new relationships to foster successful sales implementation and long-term partnerships.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and networking within the industry.
- Provide expert consultation, tailoring communication and solutions to meet the specific needs of maritime clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts that highlight the value of our products and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs, demonstrating a strong results-driven mindset and competitive edge.
- Regularly report sales activities, forecasts, and market trends to management, providing insights for future growth strategies.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, such as Maritime Studies, Marine, Electronics & Electrical, IT & Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience with a demonstrated ability to achieve results, in the Marine & Shipping sector with a strong network of ship owners, ship managers, and service partners.
- Reasonable understanding of satellite communication equipment or related marine technologies is highly preferred to effectively communicate product value.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore Marine market, with potential to expand into other regions.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and customer-focused, with a passion for success and a willingness to travel as needed.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to prepare and deliver compelling presentations.
- Capable of working independently and managing client relationships with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
