About the role: As the Business Development Manager, you are a sole contributor and will work closely with the events team. You will be reporting to the Managing Director New and will may be required to travel from time to time.

Package includes Basic Salary: $6500 + Comms + Bonus
Working Hours: Mon - Fri 10am to 7pm
Working Location: Central
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the MICE sector.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Lead the creation of compelling proposals and pitch presentations.
- Present business strategies and innovative event solutions to clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new prospects.
- Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Provide regular updates on the sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Min 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the MICE industry
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and expanding client portfolios.
- In-depth understanding of the MICE industry and a well-established network of contacts in the sector.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and participate in industry events.
