Job Description:
We are looking for an experience Workshop Manager. As a Workshop Manager, your foremost responsibility is to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our motor vehicle workshop. You play a pivotal role in overseeing the workshop's daily activities, managing a skilled team, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee workshop operations, ensuring compliance with industry and manufacturers' service and repair standards.
- Lead and supervise a team of motor vehicle service technicians and mechanics.
- Assign and schedule tasks for technician and mechanics based on their skills.
- Supervise vehicle inspections and facilitate efficient repair processes.
- Assist mechanics in diagnosing vehicle problems and provide expert solutions.
- Manage the operation of diagnostic machines.
- Conduct quality control test drives for serviced or repaired vehicles.
- Liaise with Service Advisor and Customer Service Officer for vehicle services and repair requirements.
- Gather clients’ feedback to ensure service satisfaction.
- Address client complaints and resolve challenges effectively.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance and recognition.
- Lead the hiring and training of a skilled motor vehicle service team.
- Ensure environmental compliance by managing waste disposal and health and safety regulations.
- Regularly review and manage operating performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering/ NITEC in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in automotive industry.
- Experience with continental and hybrid cars is a plus point.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
- Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
- Hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues.
- Ability to operate various workshop tools.
- Highly self-motivated with excellent business acumen.
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and innovative skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Positive, independent, and capable of working under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
