Job Description:

We are looking for an experience Workshop Manager. As a Workshop Manager, your foremost responsibility is to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our motor vehicle workshop. You play a pivotal role in overseeing the workshop's daily activities, managing a skilled team, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee workshop operations, ensuring compliance with industry and manufacturers' service and repair standards.
  • Lead and supervise a team of motor vehicle service technicians and mechanics.
  • Assign and schedule tasks for technician and mechanics based on their skills.
  • Supervise vehicle inspections and facilitate efficient repair processes.
  • Assist mechanics in diagnosing vehicle problems and provide expert solutions.
  • Manage the operation of diagnostic machines.
  • Conduct quality control test drives for serviced or repaired vehicles.
  • Liaise with Service Advisor and Customer Service Officer for vehicle services and repair requirements.
  • Gather clients’ feedback to ensure service satisfaction.
  • Address client complaints and resolve challenges effectively.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance and recognition.
  • Lead the hiring and training of a skilled motor vehicle service team.
  • Ensure environmental compliance by managing waste disposal and health and safety regulations.
  • Regularly review and manage operating performance metrics.


Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering/ NITEC in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in automotive industry.
  • Experience with continental and hybrid cars is a plus point.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
  • Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
  • Hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues.
  • Ability to operate various workshop tools.
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent business acumen.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and innovative skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Positive, independent, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
