On the assigned vessels, offer daily assistance with Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) issues.
- Arrange Ship Inspections and internal/external shipboard audits.
- Keep an eye on/support the performance of the vessels through audit and inspection findings or regular visits. Organize the fleet team’s new tonnage intake (Management of Change).
- Keep an eye on and support the regular use of work permits, toolbox meetings, and shipboard risk assessment tools.
- Monitoring incidents, mishaps, NCRs, and near-misses.
- Carry out root-cause analyses.
- Maintain & update ship Certification & licence for vessel operation
Requirements:
- Minimum of two to three years’ experience as a shore-based Marine Superintendent;
- Significant tanker shipboard experience as a seagoing officer will be added advantage
- Significant sailing and/or shore experience in managing tanker will be consider.
- Good knowledge of international maritime regulations and marine industry standards (ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISO 9001) and HSSEQ practices;
- Proven experience in conducting audits and root-cause investigations
- Operate day to day operation of the vessel including maintenance of vessel .
