Job Description:
- Responsible for the management, integrity and safety of the Operation for the assigned unit, by setting the unit's operations strategy, guiding and supporting Onshore Operations Cell and Offshore leaderships (OIM), acting as main sponsor for safety initiatives within the unit, managing cost control and revenues generators, leading the contact with the client, authorities and SPC, managing the contract and enforcing contractual obligations, thus ensuring the safe operation and the production and revenue target achievement, contributing to the business continuity and its growth.
- Lead and engage the unit's team in the Operations Cell routine, including Morning Calls, Integrated Planning, routine follow-up meetings, ensuring that all members of the Ops Cell provide proper assistance to each other in their attributions whenever required and possible, promoting a culture of mutual support, growth, avoiding any poor workload balance.
- Responsible for the guidance and coordination of all support activities to ensure the OIM (Offshore Installation Manager) delivers a world class unit operation according to the defined Budgets and Performance Indicators.
- Contribute to the unit's annual budget planning (expenses and investments), by participating and guiding the team in the corporate planning, ensuring accurate information about resources, replacements, services and materials needs and other expenses used in its activities, liaising with Offshore and Onshore departments.
- Ensure a high standard relationship with the client by participating in meetings with the client's representatives, conducting negotiations with client for technical contract demands, monitor and managing client KPIs, answering or approving RDO answers, especially the ones related to high-risk activities, as well as elaborating or approving letters and formal responses.
- Ensure a team culture that creates routine adherent to our management systems by monitoring the implementation of IMS Documents and current projects status for the assigned unit.
- Achieve the goals established for the business, by participating in the implementation of strategic and corporate projects and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Ensure the alignment of the employees with Company Objectives, Policies, Procedures and integration with Clients, Community, Suppliers and Modec do Brazil Executive Team, by leading and engaging them, providing technical and behavioral guidance and feedbacks sessions and clarifying the Career Path, in accordance with MdB's procedures and guides.
- Ensure effective people management, being the ultimate leader and motivator of offshore and onshore staff, by displaying fair leadership, effective communication, performing mentoring, coaching, training and career guidance meetings and feedbacks, periodically and under demand, ensuring the monitoring of employees' competencies and establishment gap closure actions, as well as solve any conflict between team members and approve all peoplerelated matters (recruitment, vacations, warning, dismissals, promotion, etc.).
- Sporadic embarkations on the vessels might be required for these activities.
- Ensure the adherence of the unit's costs and expenses as established in the MdB's annual budget planning, by monitoring the resources, services and materials used in its activities, engaging on Cost Control meetings and analyzing any deviations between planned and actual costs and expenses.
- Continuously seek operational and safety performance enhancement for the assigned unit, by following up or engaging in technical discussions with other Tiers, such as NOI/NOD investigations, RCAs, CAPAs, providing an holistic view of the unit, especially for high-impact and strategic discussions.
- Responsible for the management and integrity of the FPSO Operations in compliance with Clients Agreement, Company Policies, Procedures, HSE-MS and Legal Requirements, by liaising with Ops Cell and Offshore leaderships in order to gain proper visibility of the Operation's main issues and attention points and reporting to Area Manager any unusual incident, requesting their support when necessary.
- Support Offshore and Onshore departments in the prioritization of demands by demonstrating systematic view of the Operations and Maintenance, guiding decision making for major deviations identified.
- Act as the main sponsor for implementing HSSEQ initiatives, by providing adequate and sufficient resources for the effective enforcement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, monitoring safety records or recommendations, promptly responding to any emergency requirements and participating in trainings, presentations, workshops, etc.
- Promote a safety-oriented culture on the unit, acting as sponsor for the implementation of HSSEQ initiatives, as proposed by HSSE department, client, authority, engaging offshore leaderships and participating in trainings, presentations, workshops, etc.
- Contribute to a positive interface with SPC for that assigned unit, by attending meetings, supporting in clarifications, ensuring proper follow up of asset-related works, validating reports and supporting in managerial communication with SPC's representatives.
- Ensure that SPC guidelines are followed, by monitoring and approving NAMs (Notice on Asset Management), monitoring budget expenditure and validating reports to SPC, in accordance with technical guidelines as set by Technical Support departments.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering field
- Postgraduation in areas related to the discipline of expertise is expected.
- CREA is required
Relevant Experience:
- Previous experience in Onshore Oil & Gas area is required.
- Previous experience in Offshore Oil & Gas area is a competitive edge.
- Previous experience in a leadership position is a competitive edge.
