Our client who is a leading life insurance company is seeking an experienced finance professional to join their dynamic team. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Head of Finance in driving financial performance, and shaping strategic initiatives.
About the job
- Support the Head of Finance in managing overall finance activities, - reporting, operations, including investment accounting.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports in compliance with industry standards (including IFRS 17).
- Lead investment accounting functions, including the reporting of Investment-Linked Policies (ILP), ensuring accuracy in risk charges and asset templates.
- Manage financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including RBC2.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on audit, tax, and risk management matters.
- Support team leadership and development, ensuring high performance across the finance department.
Skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) are highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in a senior finance role within the insurance industry, ideally life insurance.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including RBC2 and IFRS 17.
- Proven track record in managing financial reporting, and investment performance in a regulated environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
