Ductwork Technical Sales Engineer (HVAC & ACMV)

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Ductwork Technical Sales Engineer to join our esteemed sales team. This role is crucial in driving the sales of our advanced ductwork solutions by leveraging technical expertise, providing tailored customer support, and delivering strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of process exhaust ductwork systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in technical sales within the building construction or process exhaust ductwork industry.


Responsibilities:


Technical Sales Expertise

  • Serve as the foremost technical authority on our comprehensive range of ductwork products and solutions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of customer needs and project requirements to recommend optimal ductwork configurations and solutions.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to educate and influence key stakeholders on the advantages of our products.

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in target industries, including contractors, engineers, architects, and facility managers.
  • Proactively prospect for new business opportunities, qualify leads, and convert prospects into loyal customers through effective sales techniques and relationship building.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and solutions to meet their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their feedback, concerns, and challenges, and facilitate timely resolutions to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Utilize CRM applications to keep track of sales funnels and strategize plans for closures.

Project Coordination and Support

  • Partner with internal departments (e.g., engineering, operations, logistics) to coordinate project execution from initial inquiry through to delivery and installation.
  • Provide project management oversight, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical reviews to support project implementation and address customer requirements effectively.

Market Analysis and Product Development

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the process exhaust ductwork and ductwork sector.
  • Provide valuable market insights and feedback to support product development initiatives, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to identify opportunities for product enhancements, new features, or customizations based on customer feedback and market demand.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced technical certifications or master will be added advantages.
  • At least 3 years of successful experience in technical sales, with a strong emphasis on process exhaust ductwork systems, ductwork solutions, or related products.
  • Deep technical knowledge of process exhaust ductwork principles, ductwork design, airflow dynamics, and building construction practices.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets, manage complex sales cycles, and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other sales management tools.
