Peak Ocean is looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join our client's marine division.
The primary focus of this role is on the engineering, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for battery electric vessels and charging stations.
The successful candidate will work closely with ESS suppliers, perform hands-on fieldwork with high-voltage systems, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of power electronic equipment. This role requires extensive field experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and a commitment to maintain the highest standards of safety and performance uptime for marine vessels with ESS.
Qualification Required:
- A degree or diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or any other related disciplines is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in high- voltage systems, Energy Storage Systems or ESS, or power electronics are highly desirable. Certifications in marine safety or electrical safety are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Energy Storage Systems, high-voltage systems, and power electronic equipment, preferably in a marine or industrial setting.
- Proficient in working with high-voltage systems and power electronics.
- Able to write Technical Reports.
- Familiarity with software updates, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of control systems.
