The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the commissioning processes for data center projects. This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and the construction team, to ensure that all systems are tested, validated, and fully operational according to project specifications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Commissioning Plans: Develop commissioning sequences and plans according to project requirements.
- Scheduling: Create and analyze the testing and commissioning schedule, identifying the critical path.
- Equipment Testing: Coordinate on-site equipment testing with vendors, ensuring smooth setup.
- Activity Tracking: Monitor and track commissioning activities to maintain schedule adherence.
- Meetings: Lead weekly meetings with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to address progress and issues.
- Reporting: Issue weekly commissioning reports and maintain a tracker for script status.
- Issue Resolution: Log and resolve commissioning issues with vendors and contractors.
- FAT/SAT Leadership: Lead Factory and Site Acceptance Testing, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Documentation: Consolidate and validate daily testing reports.
- Logistics: Arrange equipment logistics for HLT and IST
- Project Close-Out: Resolve all commissioning issues and complete documentation for the OMM handover.
Job Requirements
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in data center testing and commissioning.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of data center systems and equipment, including servers, storage, networking, power, cooling, fire protection, and security.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel for projects within Malaysia/Indonesia.
