Manager (Operations and Estate) reports directly to the Vice Principal (Administration). This is differentiated from a typical Operations Manager role within schools. Part of the future growth and developments opportunities for this Manager is to look at the development of infrastructural and working collaboration opportunities for special needs students under the guidance of the school's senior management. The Manager is to oversee operations and Estate, leading a team, consisting of the Operations Manager and operations support staff and vendor management.

Job Description
Manage and lead the areas of estate management, school safety and security, vendor relationships, logistics and operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the physical infrastructure maintenance and improvement works of the school premises, including preparing the estate management plan and the financial budget required to support the plan.
- Lead and ensure proper implementation of security and safety procedures and measures, in accordance with prevailing guidelines including but not limited to health advisories, fire and emergency regulations/framework. Review and update school on-site security protocol regularly.
- Oversee and guide a team of estate and operations staff and outsourced workers e.g., cleaners and security guards, to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety of the school premises.
- Drive and ensure positive relationships with vendors/service providers e.g., school bus operator and canteen vendor, to ensure timely provision and smooth operation of services required to support the function of the school. Manage service provider contract renewal and oversee tender process.
- Liaise with Ministry of Education and other Government agencies regarding infrastructure matters.
- Provide and ensure logistics support for school programmes and activities, as required.
- Support the management of student discipline cases, under the direction of the school leader, as need be.
- Reasonable tasks as requested by school leaders.
Requirement
- Experience in estate management, safety and emergency management and planning, logistics and operations.
- Relevant Degree or Diploma preferred.
- Good organisation abilities, interpersonal and communications skills.
- Fire Safety Manager certification would be an advantage.
