What you will be doing
This role will report to a Finance Director Senior and has high visibility to the senior management across different functions and geographies of the business.
- Be the Finance partner to business in achieving business objectives.
- Responsible to provide revenue recognition guidance in accordance with accounting standard ASC 606, IFRS and company policies.
- Tasks include designing complex business and commercial scenarios, simulate cost and profit analyses.
- Offering deal structuring guidance to evaluate best possible result for both FIS & the client, in collaboration with Legal, Tax, treasury and other departments.
Additionally, this role may involve implementing process changes by integrating new procedures with existing ones, communicating these changes to affected departments, and focusing on process analysis and re-engineering to address technical issues and solutions in current and future business environments. Other responsibilities include -
- Planning, executing, and overseeing process improvement initiatives such as ISO, Lean, or Six Sigma,
- Evaluating existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, collecting data to pinpoint root causes of issues, measuring performance against process requirements, recommending
- Surveying and analyzing best practices for techniques and processes,
- Delivering presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
- Facilitating process & quality improvement efforts
- May lead re-engineering team and act as project manager.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
- Finance background, with substantial experience partnering with a wide range of functions and stakeholders.
- Good technical accounting skills with specific knowledge and application of revenue recognition guidance (ASC606) and IFRS15 accounting standards.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry practices, regulations, and processes
- Proficiency in quality management methods, tools, and technologies
- Advanced proficiency in at least one appropriate process methodology, e.g., ISO, Lean, Six Sigma
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
