Responsibilities:
- Develop and design electronic and communication systems for maritime and oil & gas applications, ensuring functionality and compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate design specifications into new products and systems.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including schematics, technical specifications, and user manuals.
- Create and test prototypes of navigation and communication systems, iterating on designs based on testing feedback.
- Ensure designs meet all relevant regulatory and safety standards for maritime and offshore operations.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and provide design solutions that meet their operational needs.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve product performance and reliability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in electronic systems and communication to drive innovation in product design.
- Address design-related challenges and develop solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Assist in project planning and execution, ensuring designs are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communications, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in designing electronic and communication systems, preferably in the maritime or oil & gas sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with navigation systems and communication technologies relevant to marine applications.
