Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Executive will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process of Aprisium's IoT sensor analysers, from production planning and vendor management to quality control and compliance. You will ensure that all manufacturing activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with Aprisium’s high-quality standards. This ideal candidate should have an understanding of manufacturing processes for complex devices involving fluidics, electrochemical sensors, and IoT technologies, as well as the capacity to manage the entire production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Operations:

  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet demand forecasts, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high quality. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, and supply chain) to ensure all materials are available for production.
  • Continuously analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs. Implement lean manufacturing principles and optimize production lines to eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to transition new products from prototype to mass production. Ensure the successful integration of new product designs into the existing manufacturing process.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to manage raw materials and component inventory, ensuring availability for uninterrupted production while minimizing excess stock.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the manufacturing of Aprisium’s IoT-enabled, electrochemical sensor analyzers. Ensure that production processes comply with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes throughout production. Develop and maintain rigorous testing protocols to ensure that all products meet the required technical and performance standards.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of production issues, whether they are technical malfunctions, quality issues, or process inefficiencies. Work quickly to resolve issues and minimize production downtime.

Supplier & Vendor Management:

  • Develop and manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure timely delivery of components and products. Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to agreed-upon service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee outsourced manufacturing processes and ensure that external partners maintain quality and production efficiency standards. Visit partner facilities as needed to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with local and international regulations, industry standards, and environmental laws. Maintain proper documentation for audits and certifications.
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations in the production facility. Conduct regular safety checks and provide training to employees on best practices.

Cost Control & Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor and control production costs, ensuring that manufacturing processes remain within budget. Identify areas for cost savings without compromising on quality or efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports on production costs, efficiency, and output. Work with the finance team to track manufacturing expenditures and optimize cost-effectiveness.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in manufacturing processes (Lean, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Min. 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in industries involving IoT devices, electrochemical sensors, or high-precision technology.
  • Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end production processes in a high-tech or electronics-focused environment.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth company is advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of production planning, process optimization, and quality control.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and work with outsourced manufacturing partners.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.

Personal Attributes:

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving needs.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and the ability to align manufacturing practices with business and environmental goals.
