Job Summary:
H K News Agency is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee and manage the logistics operations related to the return of publications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor returns, coordinating the smooth return of unsold publications to SPH, and optimizing overall logistics efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the end-to-end process of checking and handling publication returns from vendors.
- Ensure all returns are accurately recorded, processed, and reported to relevant stakeholders.
- Address any discrepancies or issues with returns in a timely manner, working closely with vendors to resolve concerns.
- Coordinate the logistics for the return of unsold publications to SPH, ensuring compliance with SPH’s return policies and procedures.
- Liaise with internal and external parties to streamline the return process, minimizing delays and maximizing operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all returns and ensure that documentation is properly completed and filed.
- Analyze and improve existing logistics processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of vendor returns and publication handling.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to address logistical challenges and improve operational workflows.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and provide regular reports to management on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the logistics team, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics management, preferably within the publishing or media industry.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
