Job Description:
The Prototype Machine Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the entire process of building new prototype machines, from initial design transfer to final production handoff. This role requires managing various aspects of the project, including material procurement, troubleshooting, and team supervision, to ensure that prototypes are met the required quality standards, completed on schedule, and transfer efficiently to production.
You will work closely with R&D, technicians, and the quality control (QC) department to ensure a smooth transition from design to prototype and ultimately to full-scale production. Additionally, the role involves monitoring material costs and ensuring effective collaboration between teams.
This position requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in prototyping and manufacturing processes, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage material delivery before prototype
- Diagnose and troubleshoot prototype machine
- Manage material cost for prototype and production
- Transfer R&D design to prototype
- Supervise Technicians during Assembly
- Transfer Completed Prototypes to Production
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or Equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in a machine tool company or engineering environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Work Independently and ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Hands-on experience with machine.
- Good time management, pro-active, self-motivated and high sense of responsibility.
