About the role
The incumbent will be a core member of the company’s Operational Excellence (OpEx) team. His/her focus will be to develop an array of operational performance monitoring and management tools and use a data-centric approach to provide catalytic support to the OpEx community in driving continuous improvement efforts.
What you will be doing
- Build an array of monitoring and management tools (productivity, quality, performance, etc.) that will enable the Operational Excellence (OpEx) core team to define benchmarks, set measurable targets, and define an improvement roadmap for all logistics warehouse operations within the company.
- Operations KPI reporting for top 20 accountso Operational Excellence Audit for top 20 accounts: preparation, audit, action plan and monitoring
- Leverage on in-depth data analysis, lean principles, and short interval control methodology to identify specific operational gaps, drive continuous improvement projects with Operations team and provide catalytic support to the Logistics Analysts in their warehouse resource optimisation endeavours
- Develop a lean knowledge management framework that organises, strengthens, and diversifies the learning journey of the OpEx community in lean tools and operational excellence
- Contribute to the Operational Excellence (OpEx) community by sharing knowledge of best practices and new solutions, organising technical trainings and focus group workshops, developing team collaterals, etc. at Singapore and Regional level
- Support the business development team by ensuring the provision of relevant data and insights to existing systems and processes, at the same time aligning the goals of the OpEx community to be in-sync with the business development strategy of the company
- Collaborate with core members of the Innovation, Automation, Sustainability and Warehouse Management System (WMS) team to find implementation opportunities for new technology or to fine-tune existing solutions within the warehouse
Requirements
The successful candidate
- Degree or Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business with a relevant specialization
- Awareness and understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement tools
- Strong in data crunching and analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables)
- Knowledge in VBA / SQL / database management structure is not necessary but will be a plus
- Comfortable with presenting and communicating with customers and stakeholders within all levels of the organisation
- Good and adaptive team player with strong interpersonal skills
