Organizational Relationships: • Reports directly to Project Director.
Authorities: In charge of planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. In addition, the Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the following:
- Civil/Structural engineering plans, design, and layout.
- Civil/Structural project specifications.
- Civil/Structural engineering portion of project proposals.
- Civil/Structural engineering portion of project cost estimates.
2. Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters.
3. Develop probable construction cost estimates for projects.
4. Use computer-assisted engineering design and software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.
5. Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project
area.
6. Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
7. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and
stakeholders.
8. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
9. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
10. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
11. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
12. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
13. Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the
company.
14. Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary
during project cycle.
15. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
16. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
17. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
18. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
19. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
20. Track project milestones and deliverables.
21. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
22. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
23. To carry out any tasks that is required by Management and as assigned for upholding the ISO 9001: 2008 and OHSAS
18001:2007 Intergrated Management System.
Qualifications:
1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
2. Relevant Experience: 2 years in project management, with special focus on structural engineering.
3. Computer Literacy: Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCad and StruCad and Project Management software.
