Consumer Chemicals Technology Centre (CCTC) is a technology innovation centre under the Department for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise (TIE) at Singapore Polytechnic (SP). CCTC plays an integral role in transforming industries in the beauty and personal care sector through capability and knowledge transfer.
The appointee will be part of the research team to deliver funded projects, industry consultancy projects, create intellectual property (IP), technology disclosure and support businesses in the beauty and personal care sector to launch and commercialise products.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Principal Investigator in design, conducting of experiments and creation of formulations to meet deliverables of TIEFA project ‘Fostering Innovation in Suncare Technology Platforms’.
- Assist in administrative procedures and drafting of relevant documents pertaining to industry consultancies to support business development activities.
- Maintenance of chemical inventories, formulation spaces and laboratories in Consumer Chemical Technology Centre.
- Assist in maintaining CCTC archives of files on cloud platforms and performing role of Goods Receiving Officer
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Material Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields, with focus in the beauty and personal care sector.
- At least 4 years of working experience in beauty and personal care or related industries
- Good knowledge in suncare formulations, especially latest trends in product formulation and regulation
- Proficiency in understanding and executing standards protocols for stability testing
- Able to perform systematic methodology planning; knowledge in Coptis Lab software is a bonus
- Proficiency in data documentation and analysis
- Ability to perceive, understand and capture salient points from clients’ needs during meetings
Successful applications will be offered a 2-year contract at the first instance.
