To assist the Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) teachers in their daily teaching and learning as well as to provide logistical support for the school’s signature Applied Learning Programmes (ALP).
- Preparation of materials for cookery lessons, practicals, assessments and applied learning programmes.
- Daily maintenance, cleaning and sanitising of the two cookery rooms with high levels of cleanliness, hygiene and safety and security.
- Two cookery rooms must be cleaned and tidied after every session. Also to ensure the preparation room and 1 container cabin be in a high state of cleanliness, hygiene and safety and security.
- Provide update of perishables and dry goods to teachers ordering for the classes.
- Maintain and update of all inventories of kitchen equipment and utensils to teachers.
- Filing and compilation of all documents in the cookery rooms.
- Perform any duties as assigned by the Craft and Tech department or school.
Requirement:
- Understanding of Basic English
- At least 3 years experience as a Food & Nutrition Kitchen Assistant.
- Important - The candidate should preferably be able to:
- have good interpersonal skills to work well with teachers and students.
- be a good team player. - guide students patiently.
- be meticulous in stock taking and cleaning.
- Prepare, cook local dishes and bake pastries independently.
- climb 4 floors of steps daily. (Cookery rooms are on 4th floor. School has no lift until 2026).
