Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and placement of seafarers for the company’s fleet, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company standards.
- Ensure all crew members hold valid certifications and meet international and flag state regulations, including STCW, MLC, and other relevant industry standards.
- Develop and manage crew budgets, including wages, travel expenses, and medical costs, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high operational standards.
- Lead initiatives for crew training, career development, and succession planning to ensure a competent and well-trained workforce.
- Liaise with vessel owners, operations teams, manning agencies, and regulatory authorities to ensure effective crewing operations and address any crew-related issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma in maritime studies, human resources, business administration, or a related field. Certifications in maritime law or crewing management are a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maritime crewing, with at least 3 years in a managerial position overseeing global crewing operations.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a multicultural workforce with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders, including manning agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
