Job Description
- Managed a team of in-house contract PMO engineers, including external contractors and EPCM team, to ensure capital projects and program delivery.
- Plan, contribute to the development and control of project budget to ensure achievement of project objectives and deliverables.
- Form a team, involving the SME (subject matter expert) or process engineer in the design phase of any process improvement / change projects including pre-engineering study and performing Design Qualification. Lead and manage the implementation of capital projects.
- Work with production/engineering engineer to develop project charter and User requirement specification (URS) and ensure timely approval of project in Planview, as per committed schedule.
- Take ownership in process change and equipment modification request. Maintain a register to track the request and ensure that it is signed off / fully approved before execution.
- Monitor and ensure contractors adhere to site safety regulations and procedure during site execution phase continued audit compliance with engineering and safety requirements by both staff and external contractors.
- Contribute to the refinement and development of new engineering standard, qualification and safety procedures where necessary.
- For any capital project, ensuring to the Engineering Spare assessment and registration of new spare requirement into SAP with the support of maintenance engineers.
- In charge of the ownership of Engineering drawing/ P&ID, which in include issuing for process changes markup and ensuring as-built drawing updated after changes and project completion.
Job Requirements
- Good Degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines
- At least 5 years PMO experience in the food / chemical or related manufacturing industry for engineer role.
- PMP certified will be an added advantage
- In depth experienced in managing larger CAPEX through EPCM
- Good understanding of various industrial standards
- Good understanding of plant process and Engineering change control
- Knowledge of best practices in engineering
- Sound commercial knowledge (including contractual law)
- Basic Project management skills
- Good understanding of GMP, GEP and EHS requirements
- SAP
