POSITION DESCRIPTION - TEACHER
A Teacher plays a vital role in the intellectual, moral, physical, social and aesthetic development of the pupils.
- Impart knowledge and skills for the intellectual development of students.
- Instill moral and social values for the development of good global citizens.
- Creates / promotes a learning environment for students and focus on student learning and performance.
- Reviews / evaluates effectiveness of teaching and ensure sound teaching current teaching practices.
- Understand and appreciate the school’s philosophy and impart it to pupils.
- Reinforce School policies, procedures, standards and ensure they are applied and observed.
- Set examples in conduct / decorum and create an optimum atmosphere for learning / interaction in the classroom and monitor general progress of pupils.
- Adopt a firm but understanding approach in guiding and disciplining students.
- Be discreet and respectful of confidential information and matters.
- Facilitate in the physical development of students to facilitate healthy living.
- Work in close co-operation and harmony with other members of staff in the interests and needs of students.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum two (2) years or more relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher.
- Candidate must at least possess Bachelor's degree and a Professional Degree in Teaching/Teaching qualification certificates (PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma)/Valid Teacher License/QTS.
- Strong knowledge and experience of teaching Humanities for Secondary, IGCSE and IB level preferred.
- Experience in an international school environment (preferred).
- A passionate educator with the ability to deliver student-centred, inquiry based learning.
