Position objective and summary
- Overall responsible for the planning and operations of production plant, workshop, yards and facilities, including oversight on day to day activities.
- Develop the operation, production and yard team to support the company’s growth plan.
- Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements, including manpower, work permits, HSE, etc.
- Manage, including planning, preparation, execution of projects delivery to meet all customer requirements, product assurance and quality.
Main tasks / activities / responsibilities
- Accountable for integrated fabrication yard operations and the associated financial and commercial management of the yard. Planning and coordination of fabrication yard business activities.
- Coordinate and liaise internally with various departments to ensure project completions and externally with clients for project deliveries.
- Manage and lead project construction management, such as sub-contracting, initiation, auditing and execution control.
- Ensure the complete delivery of projects, end-to-end, from presales engineering support, production, manpower and equipments allocation to the final delivery of projects with assured quality
- Monitor market activity for the operations of yard, production workshop and water front facilities
- Work with business leaders and senior sales managers to achieve production optimization for project flows
- Maintain effective client management interface to meet project turnaround and completion

- OPERATIONS: Manpower and equipments productivity, project planning, yard and water front operations
- PROJECT DELIVERY: Resource allocation, customer timeline, project specs and quality requirements
- CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Claims payment, effective client relationships
Job requirements (education, linguistic ability, professional experience, leadership qualities, soft skills etc.)
- Singaporean preferred
- Degree from an accredited institution preferred but not essential
- A minimum of 10-15 years operation experience in fabrication plant, yard and water front facilities
- Be able to demonstrate highest delivery standards in management of quality assurance and HSE
- Wide exposure in the offshore, marine and oil & gas sector with in-depth understanding of the operation mechanics to achieve timely delivery of projects
- Able to manage, engage and mentor across nationalities, including overseas workers and local staff
- Good interaction skills with senior management, with ability to articulate and defend recommendations made
- Excellent project management skills
