About Role:

Reporting to the Chief Member Experience Officer, the H/O Global Growth will be responsible for key market growth strategy development across Asia to drive sustainable membership and product revenue streams. The role will also build media/ PR/ content plans to position CPA Australia as the leading Australian based global designation across key Asian growth markets.

The role will require the application of existing market knowledge aswell as gathering strategic market and local stakeholder insights and using them to create persuasive and actionable growth strategies, gaining consensus from internal stakeholders.

As a Senior Leader at CPA Australia, you are responsible for leading your team and the organisation by delivering sustainable solutions and fostering a culture of belong to enable the future success of CPA Australia.


Your key duties:

  • Work collaboratively across the leadership of Global Member Experience to foster internal alignment towards the goal of sustainable market growth, utilize data-rich analyses towards successful growth strategies
  • Grow international influence in the media to support the organisation’s policy and advocacy activities, promote CPA Australia as a thought leader through research amplification and an international PR strategy
  • Develop, design and drive the delivery of a strategic growth plan through an inclusive strategic planning process with a specific focus on hyper growth markets across Asia and strategic Public Relations (PR) plan for our emerging markets
  • Creation and development of global member acquisition programs including revenue and growth ambitions and manage cross-functional execution of these plans, help develop and iterate on a growth model that serves as a strategic framework for how to deliver membership growth sustainably
  • Identify and develop stakeholder relationships key to growth in emerging growth markets, build go-to-market and growth- plans for all new international markets and manage cross-functional execution of these plans
  • Lead the development and implementation of international Media initiatives that specifically support the growth strategy and amplify the importance of the affiliation with Australia
  • Leverage on the major events and Policy & Advocacy projects, and forums to enhance the brand awareness and influence in the business community through PR strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives and ensure effective two-way communication to meet our growth strategy
  • Manage the global growth strategy team, leading their growth, development, and transformation to drive a culture of customer-centricity, ownership and accountability
  • Drive continual process improvements in the team and ensure all projects are run efficiently and effectively
  • Lead, co-lead, and participate (as appropriate) in workshops (in-person and remote)


About You:

  • A degree in Business or other equivalent qualification.
  • An experienced people manager, capable of leading by influence as well as direct authority
  • Operated in a multicultural matrix environment, used to leading direct and indirect teams in a hybrid/remote working environment
  • Strong influencing skills, with senior government stakeholder management experience preferred
  • Must excel in terms of communication, analytical skills, problem-solving, creativity, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates drive and leadership skills to lead organizational transformation and capable of defining a vision for the future of the growth strategy team
  • Extensive experience in Business Development with a strong background in developing and deploying effective and target-group-tailored B2B communication strategies and campaigns - both online and offline
  • Strong external and internal relationship management skills
  • Have the personal authority, intuition for business and interpersonal skills needed to work in an international matrix organization on peer level with Executive and Senior Management, Country Leaders, and influence at this level
  • Capable of understanding and working with business data, critical metrics and dashboards in order to measure performance
  • Comfortable working in a global environment, supporting various regions and commercial activities, with a preference for an individual who has worked/lived in different regions
  • Experience handling outside consultants and agencies
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skill
  • Mandarin speaker preferred
