Project Manager

The responsibility of this position is to lead the project assigned to successful completion within the project schedule & scope as well as obtain the targeted profit and achieve high customer satisfaction.

The incumbent shall carry out the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Resolve complex issues with clients & consultants, JV partners, and/or sub-contractors which are not able to be handled by subordinates.
  • Direct project team members to achieve targets of safety, quality, profit and timely completion of the project. To monitor the progress of the project according to the targets set.
  • Identify key staff to lead the project and delegate responsibilities. Provide guidance and direction to staff for them to work towards the targets set.
  • Personnel management and development.
  • Oversee the tender works including providing directions on planning, construction technique, quality of tender submission documents, risk and issue management, tender price negotiation with suppliers and subcons for finalization.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in architecture or civil engineering
  • Minimum of 20 years of working experience in construction of building projects.
  • Working experience on a project with more than S$300 million contract value as a managerial staff (e.g., Project Manager, Construction Manager or Technical Manager) of a main contractor.
  • Working experience in construction management of large-scale complex building projects (Office, Commercial, and Hotel), as well as experience as a managerial staff (e.g., Project Manager, Construction Manager or Technical Manager) of a main contractor.
  • Ability to understand all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to budgeting, and scheduling to fully understand project implications.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with clients, management and team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential
  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
  • Capacity to handle pressure
