Job Description:
- Procure a range of materials and goods within the assigned category.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any emerging issues.
- Assess supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable agreements.
- Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, market conditions, and potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide tailored procurement solutions.
- Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to enhance procurement processes and reduce expenses.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and market conditions to make well-informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of purchasing experience in the foodservice supply chain.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills, demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, including SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
