Main Purpose of the Job:
The Parts Advisor (Parts Counter) sells parts over the counter and answer enquiries from customers. He/she assists customers in selecting required parts in a friendly professional and efficient manner via the electronic parts catalog. Guaranteeing customer satisfaction and loyalty are top priorities. He/she is the main contact person to the technician in material request. He/she reports to the Asst Parts Manager / Parts Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls and replying emails, providing retail prices and information requested by customers and the service department.
- Attending to our technicians’ and customers’ inquiries and requests for spare parts at the parts counter.
- To raise parts ordering request forms for customers’ cars as requested by service advisors/technicians via Power Apps.
- Monitoring and updating the Senior Parts Advisor/Supervisor on stocking level based on movement.
- Identifying and ensuring correct parts are ordered/issued out to our technicians for repairing at our workshop as well as to ensure all parts issued out are decarded/invoiced via our DMS.
- Keeping records of all ordered / special ordered parts and to ensure they are issued out to the requestors.
- Staying in contact with the service department, body / paint shop, customers and warehouse for orders and delivery dates.
- Deposit collection for specially ordered parts by customers.
- Update/inform customers when their specially ordered parts have arrived from supplier and to arrange for full payment and collection.
- To identify and update records on returned parts from the service department / body shop and to ensure that they are in good condition for future sales.
- Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of workstations and the parts mini store.
- Ensuring that stocks in the parts mini store are accurate at all times.
- To carry out other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
