Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Assist in preparing and managing annual budgets and forecasts, working with different departments to align with strategic goals.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and present insights to management.
- Evaluate the performance of potential outlets, projects, and production, offering comprehensive financial assessments to aid decision-making.
- Perform cost and variance analysis to track financial performance.
Financial Operations & Reporting:
- Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions and daily financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient transaction processing.
- Manage monthly closing, including preparation of financial reports, journal entries, bank reconciliations, AR & AP aging, audit schedules, intercompany schedules, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Handle treasury functions, weekly and monthly cash flow management, and optimize working capital for financial stability.
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial analysis reports to HQ in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), tax regulations, and other relevant financial rules.
- Collaborate with management to develop and execute financial strategies that support company growth and profitability goals.
- Identify cost-saving, profit optimization, and efficiency opportunities.
- Manage financial risks, including foreign exchange and interest rate risks.
- Maintain the cost allocation system, including profit center, cost center, and income/expenditure allocations.
- Handle auditor queries.
- Support monthly and year-end financial closing.
- Prepare quarterly GST statements for reporting to IRAS.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HOD.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
Job Specifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Accountancy.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of retail and F&B industry exposure.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Positive working attitude, team player, meticulous, and organized.
- High integrity and a strong sense of urgency.
