Responsibilities:
- Work with multinational teams across the globe with exposure to important high value claims,
- The type of hull and machinery claims include various damages arising from machinery damage, fire, collisions, grounding, etc.,
- The type of P&I claims include crew death/injury, cargo claims, oil pollution, environmental damage and wreck removal etc.,
- Conduct thorough investigations into claims, analyzing circumstances and gathering evidence,
- The job will entail appointment of surveyors, liaising with casualty investigators, lawyers, experts, opposing parties, adjusters and reporting regularly to insurance companies and P&I Clubs with detailed recommendations,
- Communicate with policyholders to gather information regarding the claim use internal and external resources when appropriate,
- Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders to achieve fair settlements, especially on claims involving collisions,
- Cheque posting and tracking of aging cases.
Requirements:
- Hull & Machinery OR P&I claims handling experience in the marine space,
- Strong verbal and written communication skills,
- Team player as well as capable of individual performance.
