Working Hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 2:00pm (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break)
- Service may be required ad hoc for E2K Science, during school holidays, and on PSLE days.
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Objective:
The Science Lab Assistant will support the Science Department by providing assistance with laboratory experiments and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Support:Prepare apparatus and set-ups for Science experiments.
Assist teachers during laboratory sessions.
- Inventory Management:Perform stock-taking twice a year (Mid-year and End-of-year).
- Maintenance:Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the Science Laboratory.
Take care of the Science Corners (Spices & Herbs, Cactus & Fernery, Hydroponics, Vertical Garden, Sky Garden).
- Student Support:Help with Science activities during recess time.
Assist with the school's recycling program on Thursdays during recess time.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Teamwork: A strong team player who is organized, methodical, and able to multitask effectively.
- Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Lab Experience: Preferably with prior experience in working in a science laboratory.
- Student Interaction: Comfortable working with children in a school setting.
