Working Hours:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Wednesdays & Fridays: 8:00am to 6:00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Objective:
The ICT Trainer will support the school’s ICT programmes by conducting lessons, training students and staff, maintaining the school’s ICT infrastructure, and providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- ICT Lessons for Students:Conduct ICT courses for secondary school students over 30 weeks during curriculum time, with additional modular courses during school holidays.
Teach a wide range of ICT topics, including ChromeOS, Windows, MacOS, iOS platforms, Microsoft Office, Apple Productivity Tools, Google Workspace, Cyberwellness, programming (Scratch, C, C++, Java, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Python, etc.), and Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and projects.
Monitor student progress and collate feedback.
Archive student projects into digital portfolios.
Conduct workshops to enhance students’ digital literacy skills.
- ICT Club:Design training schedules and provide coaching for ICT Club students.
Prepare students for ICT-related competitions.
Proficient in photography, videography, and various programming languages.
- Training Courses for Staff:Identify training needs and conduct workshops for staff on educational web tools, Google Workspace, Apple Productivity Tools, and Microsoft Office.
Assist teachers with ICT-integrated lessons, content creation, and lesson design.
Propose ICT tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- ICT Support and Maintenance:Support teaching and learning for the school’s PDLP programme for students in Sec 1 to 4.
Assist with troubleshooting and managing devices (Mac, Windows, iOS, Chromebooks), network infrastructure, and lab equipment.
Provide input during meetings and work with the ICT Support Team to maintain ICT infrastructure.
Manage user administration for platforms such as Apple Classrooms, Google Workspace, and the Student Learning Space (SLS).
- School Website Maintenance:Familiar with CMS platforms (e.g., Joomla, WordPress, Isomer) and web programming (HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL).
Manage and update the school’s website content.
- Videography and Editing:Film and edit videos of major school events.
Proficient in Adobe Premier Pro, iMovie, and Final Cut Pro.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Education: Diploma in ICT or related fields (e.g., Computing, Digital Multimedia).
- Registration: Must be registered with MOE by ITQ closing date and remain registered throughout the contract.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in schools.
- Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Apple Productivity Tools, and Adobe CC.
Knowledge of ICT tools for teaching and troubleshooting IT devices (iOS, ChromeOS, Windows).
Programming skills in Scratch, C, C++, Java, HTML5, CSS, Python, etc.
Strong photo and video editing skills.
