About the company
I am working with a well-established, global commodities trading firm.
They are looking to hire a Grains Trader (OTC Derivatives) as they expand their grains business presence across Asia. The candidate will be expected to leverage on their current experience to build and maintain a sales network across Asia for Grains – in particular, soybean, soybean meal, corn and wheat.
Responsibilities of the role
The role will work with the Grains team and:
- Build and sustain profitable, long-term client relationships mainly by offering price risk management solutions.
- Identify and address clients’ risk management needs and goals to deliver customized OTC derivatives solutions.
- Expand the customer base by actively seeking out new clients for derivative structures.
- Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
- Analyze regional grain supply and demand to support business development efforts.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding risk management and the use of derivatives.
- Provide both the internal team and external clients with market insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with the team to contribute to the development and execution of strategies that promote business growth.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree
2. 2-5 years of experience within the Grains industry, open to candidates from Physical Trading who want to learn more about Paper Trading
3. Up to date with commodity/grain market knowledge, derivative products and risk management strategies
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Proficient in MS Office
