The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the expansion of the Lindt business (Modern Trade, General Trade, Food Service) in 5 markets (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei).
The person will report to the Head of Apac and will be involved in strategic discussions (mid-term plan, commercial structure, talents and capability development plans).
The role also requires to promote connectivity, support and collaboration within the Apac Sales team,

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the mid-term strategic plans in your markets. Defining targets, required resources and achieving annual objectives (net Revenue, profitability and Value Market Share). Fully involved in 5 year plan and yearly business planning cycle.
- Management of the entire P&L of the respective markets and key deliveries. This also includes volume forecasting as well as ensuring a sustainable profitability in the long term.
- Local voice and ambassador of Lindt with the customers within dedicated markets. Work with the teams regionally and in Head Office to build, develop and unlock the potential of these markets in the mid to long term
- Finds solutions in moving environment, codifies and actively shares best practices with the rest of the Sales team to overcome challenges and deliver sustained growth in a collective way.
- Support, develop and implement Marketing and Sales activities in the local markets. Execute the plans, which have been agreed. Bring the brand awareness and penetration of Lindt to the next level.
- Build relationships with Distributors and retailers’ teams across and ensure, that Lindt is constantly prioritized within the brand portfolio of the distributor.
- Execute and optimize the local Trade Marketing activities. Ensure that we are constantly visible in store and that our premium distinctive assets are utilized to drive awareness and penetration within the region. Manage and evaluate promotion levels to achieve maximum returns on investment
- Work closely with our customers and distributors in all markets to provide category and shopper insights to drive performance. Conduct Analysis for Product Performance, Price Sensitivity and Portfolio Effectiveness.
- Close collaboration with Customer Service to ensure that the orders are delivered as per your annual commitment & quarterly forecast.
- Monitor and assess competitive products and programs.
- Develop strategies and promotional efforts to stay ahead of competition;
- Report fully analytical monthly
- Deliver product training, both commercial and technical, to the local sales, logistics and brand managers
